The /products.json endpoint caps out at 250 products per request via ?limit=250&page=N. A store with 1,000 products needs at least four separate requests, incrementing page each time, until a request comes back empty.

Doing that by hand - or writing a script for it - is exactly what this tool automates. Paste a store URL and it fetches page 1, then 2, then 3, and so on, pausing briefly between requests, until the store runs out of products (or hits a safety ceiling of 200 pages, i.e. 50,000 products).

It also watches for stores that mishandle the page parameter and keep returning the same first page forever - see our page on that specific case if you’ve run into it.

As a rough guide: a 900-product store needs 4 requests, a 12,000-product store needs 48. The 200-page ceiling covers all but the very largest catalogs, and if it’s ever reached, you still get everything found up to that point downloaded as a file, rather than nothing at all.
