Terms of Service
Plain terms for using Catalog Exporter. Who we are, what you get, and what we promise.
Who you are dealing with
Catalog Exporter is operated by Lasse Feddersen, trading as a sole trader. Throughout this document, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Lasse Feddersen.
Who sells you the software
Payments are handled by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for every purchase. That means your order is placed with Paddle, your receipt comes from Paddle, and Paddle is responsible for billing, tax and payment support. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle’s own terms. These terms cover your use of the software itself.
What the product is
Catalog Exporter reads the publicly available product data of a Shopify storefront that you have open in your browser, and saves it as a CSV file. It runs entirely on your own machine. We do not host, copy or receive the catalogs you export.
Free and Pro
- Free exports up to 100 products per store, with no account and no payment.
- Pro removes that limit. It is sold as a monthly or annual subscription.
Your licence
A Pro subscription gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Catalog Exporter for as long as the subscription is active. One licence key may be activated on up to three installations, which is intended to cover the website, the browser extension and one additional machine.
Please do not share, resell or publish your licence key. If a key is used in a way that clearly exceeds personal or single-business use, we may deactivate it.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not charge a cancellation fee. See our Refund Policy.
Your licence is re-checked periodically while you use the product. If our licensing service cannot be reached, your access continues for a grace period of 30 days rather than being interrupted.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use the data you export, including complying with the terms of the sites you export from and with any applicable law. Do not use Catalog Exporter to circumvent access controls, to gain access to data you are not entitled to, or for any unlawful purpose.
No warranty
Catalog Exporter is provided “as is”. Storefronts change, and we cannot guarantee that every store will export correctly or that the product will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Catalog Exporter is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will note it on this page and update the date below. Continuing to use the product after a change means you accept the updated terms.
